Automated reports reduce manual calculations and increase transparency.

iLab provides automated reports for core facilities to analyze revenue over any date range by a number of factors, including the source of revenue by lab and service provided. Individual cores can use this information to realign their service offering, calculate rates, and estimate the impact of investigators joining or leaving the institution. Central administrative groups can also use this information to understand and compare the breadth of use for each core when considering allocation of central funding support.

In addition to automated reports, the iLab system also allows core managers and administrators to download underlying data sets about core usage in order to conduct other analyses independently.

iLab is working in collaboration with current customers to automate the creation of NIH-required core usage reports, including for NCI Cancer Center support grants.
