Easy online scheduling improves coordination.

For core facilities that offer researchers use of specialized equipment or other limited resources, iLab offers several features to support scheduling and usage tracking. Core managers can list each piece of equipment or resource and set parameters for the reservation of time on each piece of equipment (e.g., minimum and maximum time intervals, hours of operation, peak vs. non peak hours, etc.) Customers can view a calendar for all equipment to locate and reserve time slots. Core facility personnel may also reserve time on equipment on behalf of customers.

Cores have several options to track and bill for actual usage. These options include manually modifying scheduled time, uploading usage logs from other systems, employing a log-on/log-off paradigm, and integrating with on-site hardware.
